Homemade Peanut Butter

My kids love peanut butter. And when I say love I mean LOVE. They never seem to be able to get enough of it. On crackers, toast, celery, fruit, just licking it off a spoon … they eat it all the time. So I decided to help make it a little healthier for them and to get in added goodness I would start making it myself.

I have noticed that a lot of peanuts you can go to the store and buy are a little dry and therefor not conducive to making a nice creamy peanut butter. So I add extra oils in. My favorite thing to add into it is coconut oil because of its many health benefits but in a pinch I use grapeseed oil as well.

Homemade Peanut Butter

1-2 cups peanuts

1-2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil depending on how dry your peanuts are

Pour your peanuts into a food processor and run until smooth.

After processing if it is too dry add in the coconut oil until it is creamy.
